It doesn’t matter if a company has made one car model or many, the release of a new vehicle is always going to be scrutinized. For Lotus, the Evija is their first hypercar. Known for its sports cars, including many F1 cars, Evija is an electric vehicle with a familiar futuristic look.
So what makes Evija so special?
Here are 5 Reasons to Love the Lotus Evija Hypercar:
1 – The Name
Why Evija? It is a derivative of Eve, the first woman mentioned in the Bible. Like the biblical character, Evija is the “first in the existence” for Lotus, who have never built a hypercar before this one.
2 – The Flashy Look
When Lotus was designing Evija, they were inspired by forms of rock. So the forms of the car give it an ageless design. It looks like the luxury cars that have existed for the last four decades, but is actually a newer version of them. From the back, this car looks like it might even be able to fly…of course not really…at least not yet. (Uber is developing flying taxis, so it’s not as far-fetched as you think!)
3 – Lightness….sort of
Evija is lighter than most electric cars, which helps it to go from 0 to 62 mph in less than three seconds. But compared to Lotus’ other cars, Evija is the heaviest, at 3,700 lbs.
4 – Scissor doors
Pulling up to valet parking and stepping out from scissor doors is not just for celebrities anymore, but regular high net worth individuals who deserve the toys that they have. If the paparazzi follow you by accident, just take it as a compliment.
5 – Exclusivity
Lotus have only made 130 models of Evija, so not many people will get a chance to own this car. And since it was just released in July 2019, you don’t want to miss out.
The Evija looks timeless,
