When you hear the name Lamborghini, you don’t even need to look. Everybody knows what a Lamborghini looks like, because it has such a distinctive look. But how many people could look at a Urus from a distance and say that it is a Lamborghini? Surely, it’s got to be some other car maker’s SUV, right? Nope, the closer you get to the SUV, the more its maker will become obvious: a front bonnet with a center peak, the hexagonal shapes, and the cross lines on the rare door, all revealing the Urus as a true Lamborghini. If it looks like a Lamborghini, and the engine sounds like a Lamborghini, it’s a Lamborghini.
For the interior, you’ll have the option of carbon, natural leather, or wood finishes. This 6-seat SUV has the space of any regular SUV, but even with its size it still is a very fast vehicle. The maximum speed is 190 mph and can go from 0 to 60 in 3.6 seconds. Not to say that parents will be loading up the kids to take a family vacation riding down the interstate at that speed, but it gives you an idea that Lamborghini didn’t want the Urus to feel off-brand.
What separates the Urus from the rest of the brand is that you can drive it anywhere. Its all-wheel drive allows it to be taken on rough terrain and through the snow. You couldn’t and wouldn’t want to do that with a Huracán or Aventador.
Lamborghini only makes about 3,500 cars per year, so if they have gotten into the SUV space, they like other car makers, are seeing them as an opportunity to broaden their brands and appeal.
